Howe Homestead

Historical Importance : This property features one of the oldest homes in the town of Newstead and was built in 1831 by “Squire “Howe.  

The term squire is an old English term referring to people who were principal landowners in their town. 

The original Howe farm was 120 acres.  The home was in continuous ownership by the Howe family for over 150 years.
