Newport Star quilt for our annual fundraiser

Star quilt in cream, black, white, and  blue-gray

The Amish-made, queen-size (96" x 106") quilt is called "Newport Star". The star design is a symbol of guidance, protection, and prosperity. This quilt has a white background with a black border and a radiating eight-point star in various calicos of gray, back, and white.


Tickets will be available at the Akron Sidewalk Sale on June 14th from 9am to 3pm. $2 for a single ticket or a book of ten tickets for $20. Cash or check only, payable to "Newstead Historical Society".


Tickets will also be available at the Knight-Sutton Museum on the 4th of July from 9am - 4pm. The quilt will be raffled off before the 4:30 parade. Winner need not be present at the time of the drawing.
