The mission of the Newstead Historical Society is to ensure a sense of community by preserving and interpreting the Town's rich social and cultural history through education and programming.

The Newstead Historical Society is a volunteer organization. Do you have an interest in giving something back to your community through the dedication of your time or expertise?

If so, consider volunteering for the Newstead Historical Society. Volunteers are essential elements of the Newstead Historical Society's ability to achieve its mission. Unique to non-profits, volunteers are a vital resource in governance, administrative and service capacities. There are a number of ways in which you could help.

You could...

….Donate your time or talent

….Join a committee

…..Bake a pie!

….Help create an awesome exhibit at the museum

…allow your garden to be featured in ‘Akron in Bloom’

It’s completely up to you!

Have something else in mind? You don't have to limit your help to these suggestions. Feel free to let us know what interest or expertise you might offer to our organization.
